The Universal City Municipal Court handles all Class C misdemeanor traffic and city ordinance violations written by Universal City Police, Animal Control, and Code Enforcement departments. Universal City Municipal Court is a court of record.
Court Clerks are available to help you with your citation at the lobby window during regular business hours prior to your court date. If you are over 17 years old, you may be able to pay citations, process dismissal requests, or make arrangements for defensive driving, deferred disposition or a payment extension before your court date.

Thanksgiving Holiday hours: 8-5, November 21st-23rd; Closed November 24th-25th
Christmas Holiday hours: 8-5, December 19th-22nd; Closed December 23rd-26th
Court Hours of Operation
Check in begins at 7:00 am; you must be seated in the courtroom no later than 8:15 am in order to see the judge.
You must appear on your scheduled court date in order to appear before the judge. If you are not scheduled for the current court docket you will not be admitted to the courtroom.
As stated on your citation, you need to bring photocopies to request defensive driving and as proof for dismissible offenses.
Payments
Eligible citations may be paid online at www.uctx.gov. (Click Online Bill Pay, Municipal Court and then enter your citation number.) You can also pay your citation at the court window or with a cashier's check/money order through the mail.
Warrant payments may be made at www.uctx.gov. (From the home page, under the picture, click Warrant Payments, once on Official Payments website, click Local Payments.) Do not use the letter when entering a citation number.
