Our Parks

Whether you are into sports, nature or just want to take your children to a playground, Universal City has a park for you! Do you need a gathering place? Universal City has several covered pavilions and a clubhouse for special events. Private permitted use restricts use of pavilions to that of renter only.

The Parks staff works diligently to provide superior parks, outdoor spaces and recreational facilities. We encourage you to take time to visit Universal City Parks and enjoy the outdoors. Please see below for information or call Public Works at: 210-658-5364.

Basic Park Rules:

  • No glass containers
  • Regular hours for all Universal City parks are 6am - 11pm
  • Pet owners must clean up after their pet promptly and properly
  • Pets must remain on a leash and are not permitted on any ball field or the splashpad

Universal City Park

305 North Blvd.

Universal City Park is a 32-acre park that features three lighted softball/baseball fields with dugouts, bleachers and a score keepers box with concession building and restrooms. In addition there is a half mile walking/jogging path, a basketball court and three pickleball courts underneath a large 7, 000 sq. ft. pavilion, a sand volleyball court, regulation size football field, disc golf course and two playgrounds.

Ball Field Practice Only Rates:
Resident, per hour/per field = $5
Nonresident, per hour/per field = $10
(Additional $10 per hour for lights)

Meadow Oaks Park

55 Meadowland Dr.

Meadow Oaks Park is a 1-acre park consisting of a playground, a lighted picnic area and a basketball court. Plans in progress for updating this park including a new Pavilion.

Meadow Oaks Park Pavilion Rental Fees:
All Day: Resident Rate: $125 (Rental $25 and Deposit $100)
              Non-Resident: $150 (Rental $50 and Deposit $100)

Hourly Rates: Resident Rate: 2 hours minimum at $10 hourly
                        Non-Resident: 3 hours minimum at $15 hourly


Meadow Oaks Park

Cimarron Park & Clubhouse

368 Wagon Crossing

This park features a 1,500 square-foot clubhouse available for parties, showers and meetings. The clubhouse has a large open room for your gatherings and a full kitchen, restrooms, 10 folding tables and up to 60 chairs, as well as a parking lot with a 15 car capacity. Maximum occupancy is 50 people. There is also a playground in the rear of the park accessible during normal park hours.

Clubhouse Rental Fees:
Mon.-Thurs. = Resident Rate: $175 (Rental $75 and Deposit $100)
                 Non-Resident Rate: $200 (Rental $100 and Deposit $100)

Fri., Sat. & Sun. = Resident Rate: $225 (Rental $125 and Deposit $100)
                       Non-Resident Rate: $275 (Rental $175 and $Deposit $100)                           


Red Horse Park

1100 North Blvd.

This 8.5-acre park features two playgrounds, a softball field with bleachers and dugouts, a 2,500 square foot covered pavilion with 8 tables and two new small pavilions with two picnic tables in each, 3/8 mile shaded walking/jogging trail, shaded picnic areas, a basketball goal, futsal/tennis court and two restroom facilities.

All Day: Resident Rate: $140 (Rental $40 and Deposit $100)
              Non-Resident: $165 (Rental $65 and Deposit $100)

Hourly Rates: Resident Rate: 2 hours minimum at $10 hourly
                        Non-Resident: 3 hours minimum at $15 hourly

Northview Park

This half-acre park features a series of playground structures set in a grassy area with shaded areas and benches along the perimeter as well as restroom facilities.

Northview Splash Park

100 Randolph Plaza Dr.  (next to Northview Park)

This park has many water features and fun for all ages. Open: Tentatively April-October. Hours 10am to 8pm. This is an unsupervised facility. Use the facility at your own risk. There are currently two blue tarp shade structures for everyone to share. Pavilions have picnic tables that you can reserve specifically for your group for birthday parties and the like.

Splash Park Pavilions are reservable in 4 Hour Increments of: 10am-2pm or 3pm-7pm.

You may reserve for all day of: 10am-7pm (additional $100 to the fees listed below)

Pavilion A or B:

Veterans Park

737 E. Aviation (close to Cibolo Creek)

This 8-acre park has many mature trees and has a scenic view along the Cibolo Creek including walking trails. There are also picnic tables and pavilions.

Pavilions 1 - 5:
All Day = Resident Rate: $125 (Rental $25 and Deposit $100)
                
Non-Resident: $150 (Rental $50 and Deposit $100)

Hourly Rates = Resident Rate: 2 hours minimum at $10 hourly
                          
Non-Resident: 3 hours minimum at $15 hourly

Pavilion 6:
All Day = Resident Rate: $175 (Rental $75 and Deposit $100)
                
Non-Resident: $200 (Rental $100 and Deposit $100)

Disc Golf

Universal City Park and Universal City Cibolo Creek

In 2001 Universal City installed a full 18-hole disc golf course with assistance of members of the Alamo City Disc Golf Club.The course challenges all level of players with diverse types of terrain and settings.
