Area Information


The San Antonio area economy is one of the most diverse and dynamic in the United States, and Northlake Business Park, with its immediate access to IH 35 and Anderson Loop-1604, is only a short drive from many of the area’s most important hubs of activity. Within proximity of Northlake are an abundance of restaurants, stores, and services that fulfill a variety of personal and business needs.
The immediate area around Northlake had a population of over 120,000 in 2011 and a projected population of 153,000 in 2016. Ninety-four percent (94%) of the population over the age of 25 are high school graduates. Forty-two percent (42%) have obtained a college degree. The median household income for the area is $72,705. Additionally, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph personnel currently numbers over 17,000, with an annual payroll of $739,118,339 (excluding retirees). The number of military retirees within a 50 mile radius is estimated at 67,629. Randolph is also home to the Air Force Personnel Center, which itself employs 3,600 military, civilian and contractor personnel.
