What type of benefits does the City offer?

The following Benefits are available to full-time employees: 

  • Health Insurance – Employee cost is paid by the City, cost for family members is paid by the employee. 
  • Dental Insurance – Employee cost is paid by the City, cost for family members is paid by the employee. 
  • Life Insurance ($25,000) – Cost is paid by the City. 
  • Voluntary Life Insurance
  • Long Term Disability
  • TMRS ( TX Municipal Retirement System) – 7% of employee pay each pay period. The City match is 2 to 1. 
  • ICMA - 457 plan is available for employee participation. 
  • Vacation/Sick leave – Full time employees accrue vacation and sick leave each pay period.

The City provides an Employee Assistance Program to all employees and their household members.
