Renewals and Reserves

Renewals

Items not placed on reserve may be renewed once. Thereafter, items must be put back into circulation for 24 hours before that patron may check the item out again. Renewals may be done in person with the library card, by telephone during library business hours by providing the library card number, or by accessing the patron account online using the card number and phone number on record. Items to renew may be identified by providing the barcode number, the actual item, the date the item is due, or by requesting everything currently checked out on the card is to be renewed. Check out policies apply to renewals.

Reserves

Patrons may fill out a request card to reserve items currently on loan to another patron. Reserves must be done in person with their name, telephone number, and library card number on the request card or place item reserves online using the library card catalog and accessing the patron account online using the card number and phone number on record. Reserves are processed according to the date of the request. Reserve items are held for three business days after either the patron has been contacted or a message is left at the listed telephone number. Anyone presenting the current and valid library card of the requestor may pick up the requested items.
