Water Service:  Tips to prevent frozen pipes

Universal City water service is not affiliated with SAWS.  If you have any questions on water service or broken pipes, please contact Public Works. Residents should take necessary precautions to insult and prevent pipes from freezing. 

  • Insulate pipes and faucets in unheated areas.
  • Turn off irrigation to prevent ice on sidewalks and streets.
  • Locate your customer hand valve in case of a leak and you need to shut off your water.

In the event of a water leak, utilize the customer hand valve to shut off the water. Never shut off your water from the City water meter. If you need to access the City water meter to shut off the water, please call Public Works.

Energy/power:

CPS Energy is responsible for the electrical service in the Universal City area. In the event you are experiencing a power outage, please check the outage map for updates.

Warming Center:

For those who may need a place to get warm, Christ the King, 1129 Pat Booker, will be a Warming Center with Bexar County Emergency Management for the upcoming Arctic Blast. It is projected to open Sunday at 9pm thru Wednesday 8am.
